Alexander Wang
Probably the coolest kid at school, Alexander Wang goes from strength to strength in which he has just opened his first flagship store in NYC. Paying homage to his craft, Wang injected the usual sexy, tough and cool-as-a-cucumber attitude without compromising on luxury. I love his playful take on cocoon-like outwear, asymmetric lines and billowing, voluminous coats. I’m also a massive fan of the sleeveless coat – delish.
Preen
If you want a fusion of sharp, constructed menswear tailoring with a fluid, womenswear theme, then look no further than Preen’s AW11 collection. My favourite pieces of this collection were the embroidered, colour block prints onto silk and high collared, crystal and metal beading culminating in an undeniably sophisticated offering.
Prabal Gurung
Wow! With an amazing collection such as AW11, not many will forgetting Prabal Gurung’s name any time soon. Love the midi-lengths. Love the rigorous fits, the splash of colour including reds on pinks, the languor in the floor length, bias-cut chiffon gowns. This entire collection just screams glamour and I can’t get enough.
