100 Years of Fashion

Awwwwww!! I just love this video celebrating 100 years of Fashion. And the icing on the cake for me is that it’s shot on location in my old hood, East London. This video really brings to light how much fun past generations have had experimenting with fashion and what I would have really liked to see is a true reflection of how fashion is trending right now. I really don’t think a blazer; some jeans and pumps really showcase what we’re all about. Am I right?

Office Inspiration

For those that work in an office, you might want to look away. The Covetuer goes inside the incredibly beautiful and oh so inspiring offices of Who What Wear. I love the fresh, clean lines and the nail polish vase is such a lovely personal touch, definitely going to try this one at home. 

NY Fashion Week SS12 Street Style

The last two weeks have been hellish. With NY Fashion Week been and gone and London Fashion Week in full swing, now is definitely not the time for me to not have the Internet in my new apartment. But as with everything, these things take time. So thankfully (and just in the nick of time) I’m now back online and ready to go!

MOVE. EAT. LEARN

Now, I haven’t done many travel posts in a while but I came across the new STA travel TV advert and I am so inspired by it. I love that the MOVE and EAT videos have an underlying linear concept that truly is beautiful and I get a little jealous of the LEARN video as it just re-ignites the travel fire that lies deep within my belly. 

The one thing that I love most about travelling is getting the opportunity to experience things that you wouldn’t usually experience in your everyday life from the people you meet to the food you taste, it is an unbelievable feeling.

I, like everyone else, have just recently joined Instagram (username – jrabbitscloset) an app for your iphone, which is such a fun way to share your pictures with friends. It allows you to take photos and then apply an extra filter on top of the original, making your photos that much more amazing. Naturally, I'm obsessed and have almost tried every filter, with my favourites being, so far, X-Pro 2, Earlybird and Brannan. Only question is, are we friends yet? 

Lanvin Fall Winter 2011 Ad Campaign

This video for Lanvin's Fall Winter 2011 collection has been all over Twitter this weekend and I’m in love. Love the awkward dancing, love love love the dresses, the boys are fab and it features beats from Pitbull who I’m so obsessed with at the moment (don’t judge it’s very guilty pleasure).

New Beginnings.

What a relief! After 5 long, stressful days in Sydney, I’ve finally found a place to call my home at Bondi beach. Having lived in concrete city, London, for the last two years I was craving a sea change, so I’m very happy! I’m moving into an unfurnished apartment, which for some may be a daunting prospect but for me, I’m revelling in the fact that this “shell” is my blank canvas. A fresh start. And I cannot wait to start furnishing it with all the things that I love, staying true to my vintage heart.
