Bag Shapes for Fall 2011

Something that I found really fun last season, which I’m doing again this season, is Jessica Rabbit’s Round Up of Bag Shapes for Fall 2011. This is essentially my Top Picks for this coming season, which you’ll be finding on the shelves in the next few weeks.

This season you will be likely to find bucket bags in exotic skins, portfolio clutches and beautifully embellished evening bags, from textured to quirky. I particularly love Louis Vuitton’s metallic gold cuff clutch, Olympia Le-Tan’s eccentric book-cover inspired clutch and Christian Louboutin’s spikey shoulder bag. At this very moment, I'm loving that everyone is getting funky with their wrist accessories. More specifically stacking bangles, bracelets, charms, oversized watches… you get the picture. It’s such a fun way to update your outfit and gives you the opportunity to show the world a little snippet into your personality. I'm so inspired that I'm definitely going to give this trend a go.

I think I’ve said it a million times before but the one thing I love about blogging is stumbling across new blogs. When this happens I just feel so inspired that there are incredible people out there who are just doing their “thang”. I came across this beautiful campaign via Spell & The Gypsy Collective, which has sent my heart into a flutter. Not only do I love the jewellery I’m all over the kimonos. Also, I think that the photographer has done an incredible job with embodying the whimsical atmosphere and capturing the essence of the beautiful surroundings. Very inspiring.

PS I believe that this was shot at my favourite place in the entire world, Byron Bay.

Trend Forecast : Collar Necklaces

Yay! Finally something I’m excited about. Collar Necklaces – need I say more? I am a major fan of Peter Pan and Tuxedo collars but these luxurious and detachable necklaces are oh so beautiful. Seen on runways for Louis Vuitton and Chanel, I’m positive that these babies will be a must-have item for your wardrobe.

Is it me or is everyone talking about Karen Walker’s shades from her Resort 2012 Collection? I’m loving the fluoro bright frames with contrasting lens and the simple 30s inspired retro frames.
