My model crush at the moment is the lovely Cara Delevingne who currently features in Burberry’s beauty campaign. And what a beauty she is.

Outfit Post : Madrid Day 3

Since I first bought my pleated white, wide-leg trousers, 6 weeks ago in a sample sale, I’ve been dying to wear them. But of course, I was waiting for the opportune moment to present itself – hello, Madrid. For weeks I was racking my brain deciding on what to wear on top given that the trousers are a statement within themselves. So I decided to go a little low key and team it up with an aqua vest (or singlet) from H&M. I find so much inspiration from the 70s and as soon as I saw these babies I just knew I had to have them. At first, I thought that I was buying a maxi skirt until I got home and tried them on and realised that they were actually trousers. Amaze! Move over Charlie Sheen, there's a new winner in town.

Outfit Post : Madrid Day 2

Seeing as though we spent the entire first day drinking in the sun in Plaza de Santa Ana, Day two was a site-seeing day and in spirit of that, I rustled up a Nicole Richie vibe and wore a dark grey Topshop maxi skirt, H&M crochet top and my thrifted mini duffle bag. During the day, we started at Puerta del Sol, I had a very unpleasant McDonald’s experience (all I wanted was a McFlurry – how hard is that?), and then ventured to Reina Sofia Museum – which was incredible. The main attraction is, without a doubt, Picasso’s Guernica, the sheer size of it is awe-inspiring, standing at 3.5m tall and 7.8m wide. After seeing all five floors in about 2 hours, we needed a well deserved break and stopped off for coffee and snacks and watched the beautiful sunset.

easyJet Holidays Launch Party

On Wednesday night, I was lucky enough to be invited to celebrate the launch of easyJet Holidays in West London.  After I collected my customised “passport” I was taken on a whirlwind tour to five of easyJet’s top holiday destinations (including Paris, Italy, Spain, Northern Africa, Scandinavia and Greece) where I got to sample the amazing food and drink of each destination. From mini pizzas in Italy, to falafels and pitta bread in Northern Africa the food was seriously delicious. However, during the night I could see myself getting more and more drawn to the likes of Greece where I sipped away on Mojitos and Cosmos and refreshed my pallet with a glass of divine French wine. The lure of Scandinavia was quite tempting however, when Vodka shots are the only thing on the menu, I had to keep my distance. After all, it was still only a Wednesday night!

Outfit Post : Madrid Day 1

Day One in Madrid saw me channelling Jil Sander SS11 in a tomato red A-line skirt from H&M, a basic white tee, navy vintage blazer, topshop open toe flats and thrifted mini duffle bag. It was so nice to move away from my winter blacks and charcoals and embrace a more vibrant colour. The weather in Madrid was incredible that I didn’t even need my blazer for the most part. This outfit saw me go from roaming the labyrinth that is Madrid to catching a few rays in Puerta del Sol, a square in the heart of Madrid.

Hola Guapa. Madrid

I’m now back from Madrid with a little tan and a massive hangover, but wow, it was worth it. From the apartment we stayed in, to the group that I went with, this holiday was exactly what I needed. I fully embraced the culture by eating tapas and paella in the glorious sunshine, drinking sangria and red wine in picture perfect plazas, gave in to my inner tourist and visited the Reina Sofia gallery to see surrealismo and realismo exhibitions and just basically lost myself in the lifestyle of Spain.  I also had the pleasure of watching a flamenco show which was an incredible experience to say the least – there’s was definitely no shortage of passion or intensity. All in all, I had such a lovely and relaxing time and I would definitely go back to Madrid, the only thing that I felt that was lacking was a beach!
